Instead of controlling one character, you manage a group of worms that moves as a unit. Your mouse pointer directs the entire swarm, and a zoomable camera adjusts as the group spreads out. The core tension comes from balancing speed with precision: a single collision with another player ends your round, so keeping every worm safe matters more than rushing forward.
Food scattered around the arena makes your worms longer, which raises your score and increases your presence. Special bonuses change how you play: shields provide temporary armor, magnets pull in nearby food for faster collection, and worm bonuses add extra members to your swarm. A larger swarm gives you more control but also a bigger target, so timing these pickups is a real decision. The game rewards players who gather bonuses rather than chase risky encounters.
After each match, you receive a unique achievement URL that tracks your performance. You can share this link with friends to compare results. A global top-1000 leaderboard gives you a clear target for improvement. Spectate mode lets you watch ongoing matches, which is useful for learning from stronger players without joining a round. This creates a loop of play, review, and refinement.
The graphics are clean and polished, making it easy to tell your worms apart from opponents. The zoom function adjusts automatically as your swarm grows. Controls are simple: left-click or press W for a speed boost, right-click or Space for strategic moves. This straightforward design keeps the game accessible while still offering depth for experienced strategists.
